Step 1: Change desktop resolution
Right click on the desktop and select Display settings -> Advance display settings -> Resolution 1366* 768 an Apply it.
Step 2: Change driver letters
If you use USB to install Windows, then your USB will be D: partition. As a result, the other partion in your computer will be E:, F:,..
Now eject/unplug your USB. Right click on This PC and select Manage. Go to Disk Management. Now if you want to change letter D: -> E: Right click and select Change Driver Letter and Paths… -> Change -> Change your letter and click Ok. You can do the same to change other partitions.
Step 3: Install Drivers
I recommended you to download drivers from your PC/Laptop’s official websites. There you will find all your essential software.
Step 4: Set up your accounts
Go to change account setting and sign in with your Microsoft account. If you don’t have a MS account Click Create one! You should add Email to use apps in Windows 10. Set PIN, Password, Picture password if you want to.
Step 5: Update your Windows and set up Windows Update
Make sure that you already have internet connection. Go to Setting -> Update & security. Click check for updates. Windows will download update packs and install automatically. And it may take so much time. While the task is getting done we can set up windows updates for the best experience.
Step 6: Install .NET Framework 3.5 and Visual C++ Redistributable
Step 7: Devices & Personalize settings (Mouse, Auto Play, Start, Desktop, Theme…)
- Hide Cortana/Search box: Right click and go to Cortana and select show Cortana icon.
- Speed up pointer: Setting->Devices -> Mouse & touchpad -> Click Additional mouse options -> Click pointer option and Fast it.
- Turn off AutoPlay: Setting->Devices -> Turn off AutoPlay
- Change Desktop Background
- Change Theme color
- Set Your lock screen
Step 8: Bring icons to Desktop:
- Settings -> Personalisation -> Themes -> Desktop icon settings -> Click Computer, Recycle Bin, Control Panel, Network.
- Customize Start Menu
- Pin File Explorer to Start
- Turn system icons on or off
Search “file explorer options” in Settings and change Quick access to This PC and Untick Show frequently used folders in Quick access.
